The Grillo is a white grape variety very present in the western Sicily, from the multifaceted use and of high alcohol content. There are historical traces already in 1800 but it also suggests that the Phoenicians had started some production also on the island of Mozia. Already in the 30's, the plant these vines was spread throughout Sicily.
Features: medium-large leaf, pentagonal and five-lobed, the cluster has a conical shape and is generally winged, medium compact, with medium-sized berries, spherical and with thick skin and a little waxy, yellow-green color with rust-colored blotches.
